Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Provincial Clinical Policy, Planning, & Partnerships (EVP), the Chief Administrative Officer - Research (CAO - Research) role is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of Canada’s largest academic health sciences organizations. Responsible for defining and monitoring research and student education performance indicators, and for working in collaboration with academic health science parties, the CAO - Research will provide strategic leadership for PHSA’s mandate as an academic health science organization. They will lead activities to strengthen, standardize, and align research and student education platforms, processes, and policies, and they will build formal, productive relationships with researchers, health authorities, universities, other post-secondary institutions, government, and philanthropic partners to establish and sustain a supportive, outcomes-oriented research environment and high quality learning environment that improves health outcomes and strengthens the sustainability of BC’s health care system.
