Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Experience working in a regulatory regime involving investigation, adjudication, and enforcing breaches of legislation or policies.
- Experience conducting investigations.
- Experience in mediation or dispute resolution.
- Experience conducting on-site inspections and/or audits.
- Experience interpreting, applying, and enforcing Acts, regulations, and policies.
- Strong written communication skills with experience developing formal correspondence in reporting, briefing, and memorandum formats to internal and external stakeholders and management.
- Strong verbal communication skills with experience in public speaking and making formal presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to independently manage complex caseloads to meet established deadlines.
- Experience evaluating financial statements and performing computations for analysis.

**Duties**:
Reporting to the Manager of Enforcement and Dispute Resolution, some key duties of the Consumer Service Officer (CSO) include mediation and dispute resolution, handling a high volume of consumer inquiries, and interpreting, analyzing, and using applicable legislation to respond, corresponding with consumers and businesses in a highly professional manner and carrying out inspections under the Acts administered by the Consumer Protection Office.
