Lynwood Charlton Centre is looking for energetic, caring and passionate Day Treatment Child and Youth Care Practitioners, who can jump in and be a part of the Day Treatment Classroom Services.

**Overview**

The Day Treatment Child and Youth Care Practitioners will assume responsibility for the provision of day-to-day care and utilizing best practice and evidence informed treatment interventions with children/youth in a classroom environment. The Day Treatment Child and Youth Care Practitioner will perform prime worker/coach duties through developing effective relationships with caregivers/guardians and service providers in the community

**Required**

  • Diploma in CYC or equivalent from recognized community college or a post-secondary degree in a related field
  • Certification in CHYMHs assessment or certification obtained within 3 months of hire
  • First Aid and CPR certificate in good standing
  • Knowledge of child and youth mental health and relevant evidence informed treatment interventions
  • Several years’ experience working with children/youth in a treatment setting.
  • Experience working with students and collaterals in a school-based setting.
  • Experience working with and developing support plans aimed to enhance student functioning.
  • Experience collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to set and achieve common goals.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Screening (done within the last four weeks)
  • Medical Clearance
  • Drivers License ( G Class)

**Terms of Employment**

This position is a permananet employment 40 Hours per week with the expectation for occasional evening hours arranged through flexible work arrangements. This position pays $23.12. and offers competitive benefits.

Our Day Treatment Child and Youth Care practitioners are provided with paid crisis intervention training annually and provided with paid first aid re-certification opportunities.

Pay: $23.12 per hour
