Position Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor of Recreation & Community Development, the Ticket Seller provides front-line customer service to occasional users and the general public and is responsible to sell tickets for various pay-as-you-go programs offered by the Recreation & Leisure Services division.

This position works with mínimal supervision, in a fast paced environment, managing point of sales transactions while providing professional and courteous customer service at all times. The Ticket Seller works at various locations throughout the City.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Responsible for ticket sales for the City of Kingston pay-as-you-go programs (includes public skating & swimming, shinny hockey, senior skating, parents & tots skating & special events), cash handling, balancing ticket/pass sales, providing information on skating/swimming programs, rules, regulations and associated fees;
Ensure a professional and courteous approach to customer service;
Liaise with skate patrol staff, aquatics staff, facility staff and supervisor to ensure timely information flow;
Monitor and record membership access to public skating & swimming sessions;
Report incidents or issues to supervisor;
Other duties as assigned;
Work locations include Centre 70, INVISTA Center, Cataraqui Community Centre, Memorial Centre and the Outdoor Aqua Park.
Qualifications, Competencies
One (1) month cash handling experience;

Skills, Abilities, Work Demands
Must have excellent customer service skills;
Efficient/effective cash handling skills, with the ability to manage point of sales transactions in a non-computerized & computerized environment;
Must be able to work varied shifts and have reliable transportation;
Able to multi-task in a fast pace environment;
Ability to work with mínimal supervision;
