**Payroll Specialist and Accounts Receivable Clerk**

Reporting to the Controller, the payroll specialist and accounts receivable clerk position will responsible for numerous tasks including overseeing payroll and accounts receivable.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepares and submits weekly payroll information ensuring data accuracy & integrity;
- Address and resolve any employee queries on tax, payroll, leave, benefits and OMERS;
- Ensure that Monday and other HR information systems are accurate and kept up to date with relevant payroll related actions (leave, pay changes, employee details, etc.);
- Reviews the accuracy of payroll registers to ensure employees are paid correctly and time is charged to the correct job numbers;
- Calculates special adjustments, vacation payments, entitlements and sick pay and OMERS reconciliations;
- Ensures legislative compliance and adherence to CPA guidelines;
- Prepares and submits government remittances according to legislative requirements;
- Responsible for terminating employees in the payroll system and subsequent preparation of ROE’s;
- Manages the banked time for hourly employees;
- Supports internal & external audits;
- Maintains strong internal controls and safeguards confidential information;
- Performs Accounts Receivable duties including posting invoices, managing AR collections, updating customer files, post payments and resolves billing discrepancies;
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 5 years’ experience working in a payroll related field
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices and procedures
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively
- Exceptional data entry skills with a strong attention to detail
- Proven systematic and organized approach to multi-tasking
- Demonstrates ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision
- Well-organized, detail conscious, and comfortable at working and adhering to tight deadlines
- OMERS experience would be an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
