The Regulatory and Consultation Assistant is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and participating in the implementation of the regulatory and consultation activities. This includes providing general administrative and coordination support, regulatory and consultation assistance, and assisting with other related activities as required. The incumbent shares information with the other port authority departments as it pertains to projects activities and corporate strategic initiatives.

The Regulatory and Consultation Assistant will:
Regulatory & Consultation Support:

- Assist with the organization and coordination of public information, regulatory and consultation meetings, events and workshops.
- Assist with research and preparation of responses in support of regulatory and consultation activities pertaining to the port authority initiatives, as required
- Maintain all records related to engagement and consultation
- Prepare, coordinate or follow-up on submissions, correspondence, records, reports, tracking tables, payment requests, reconciliation statements, etc.
- Coordinate with the appropriate project teams to fulfil information requests to support the development of appropriate regulatory and consultation materials
- Compose, proofread and format correspondence, presentations and spreadsheets; and assemble, prepare, collate and distribute, as required
- Provide general information and referral to internal and external contacts
- Maintain a high level of understanding of divisional projects, interdepartmental project relevance and integration with the division and corporate-wide objectives

Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including tact, diplomacy and the ability to liaise effectively and positively with both staff and outside contacts. Demonstrated aptitude and ability for tactful and diplomatic interaction, along with solid analytical abilities. This person will have an excellent command of the English language, both oral and written. Must be a team player with a “customer service” focus. Good organizational skills and flexibility to perform multiple tasks as required.
