What you'll be doing

This role is a member of the Credit Team which drives CIBC Asset Management (CAM) Fixed Income security selection and an integral member of the Fixed Income team. You'll be supporting senior members of the Credit Team who provide Fixed Income Portfolio Managers in-depth advice and consultation of a tactical and strategic nature regarding sector credit exposures and security selection in the Fixed Income markets. You'll also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the team’s databases, Bloomberg interface, primary research and work with sector specialists to update financial models which support investment opinions of various sectors and companies.

How you'll succeed- Leveraging technology - Manage the credit team’s various databases, including enhancing existing workflow and creating new workflow and databases. Manage and develop data feeds with Bloomberg and MSCI platforms, among others.- Research - Develop and manage the team’s data analytic primary research.- Relationship building - Develop strong working relationships within CAM to collaborate and share knowledge.- Collaborate - Work collaboratively with sector specialists, portfolio managers and quantitative investing team.- Effective communication - Present and communicate internally to the credit team and portfolio managers.- Investment knowledge - Understanding of fixed income and credit analysis, capital markets knowledge. Passion for financial markets and investment management.

You have advanced capabilities in database management and Excel VBA. You Demonstrate experience and proficiency with Bloomberg and Python to handle large datasets. You have excellent quantitative, analytical, problem solving and researching skills.- You know that details matter. You have a strong sense of responsibility and reliability. You are thorough and results oriented.- You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Statistics, Finance or Accounting.- You can demonstrate experience in Fixed Income analysis.
