**Mauril**
Mauril is a free digital platform leveraging a wide range of stimulating and entertaining content from CBC/Radio-Canada to help users learn English and French.
**This is a twelve (12) month contract position with the possibility of extension.**
**Your role**
As Communications Manager, Mauril Project, you will be responsible for raising awareness of the Mauril brand among various audiences by developing strategies in support of the ambitious objectives we have established for this innovative platform.
You will be a key player in all Mauril brand communications activities directed at users and stakeholders, including relations with the latter, public relations and communications on social platforms, blogs, newsletters, advertising, etc.
**Your key tasks**
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning for Mauril, you will develop as well as supervise the implementation of communications and marketing strategies for Mauril. In doing so, you will work with people across several areas in-house as well as freelancers: communications, educational experts, writers, translators, copy editors, creative and production leads at the Digital Studio within Digital Media, media agency, etc. You will also be responsible for managing the Mauril communications and marketing budget.
**More specifically, you will**:
- Develop and implement a communications plan to support achievement of the awareness, subscription, conversion and other objectives, aimed at stakeholders as well as the various target audiences (general public, immigration and related services, teaching, community, employment, official language minority communities, public service).
- Prepare briefs for production of all communications tools.
- Co-ordinate all the steps involved in production of the communications tools.
- Give feedback to the designers and freelancers and ensure all required changes are made.
- Approve the communications tools before their distribution.
- Draw conclusions and present them as inputs for the marketing communications plan.
- Conduct a review of the existing communications tools / identify communications tools to be developed (FAQ, newsletters, blogs, presentation, tools for promotion by outside ambassadors).
- Analyze the outcomes of all campaigns and make recommendations for future optimization.
- Present quarterly reports using the results along with amendments to be made to the plan.
- Communicate performance reports and highlights of the communications initiatives with the project team and draw conclusions from them.
- Prepare presentations for the Senior Manager and various members of the project team.
- Manage the budget allocated.
You may be asked to travel to other regions of Canada occasionally.
The position can be based anywhere in Canada, at no more than 2 hours’ drive from one of our regional stations.
This is a hybrid role.
- University degree in marketing or communications, or any other related field
- Six (6) to eight (8) years’ experience in communications, digital or public relations
- Proficiency with, understanding of and a proven ability to create and market content for these channels
- Extensive knowledge of production (electronic, graphic, web)
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information
- Fluent bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, leadership and ability to work with others
- Tact, diplomacy and ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships, both internally and externally
- Solid grasp of public broadcasting issues and values
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines
- Highly creative and proactive individual who is able to propose innovative ideas
- Knowledge of strategies specific to the language learning, immigration and/or teaching communities is an asset
- Experience in community groups or education is an asset
