Young Parents with no Fixed Address

**LOCATION**: Toronto, Ontario

**POSITION TYPE**: Full-time Contract (37.5 hours/week
- 1 year)

The YPNFA Coordinator is responsible for supporting and ensuring ongoing collaboration within the Young Parents No Fixed Address (YPNFA) network to enhance sector capacity by identifying and responding to issues/barriers related to obtaining and maintaining housing, supports or services for vulnerable under housed/unhoused pregnant and parenting young people young families in Toronto.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Coordinate work of YPNFA network**
- Ensure the effective functioning of the YPFNA network by providing support to the work of YPNFA.
- Participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of network activities.
- Maintain project reporting for the network.
- Facilitate monthly network meetings - schedule, location, minutes and agenda.
- Identify new and emerging trends and work with network to develop responses.
- Participate in all subcommittees of YPNFA providing support and information as needed.
- Record notes, statistics and other details as per agency policy.
- Participate in quality assurance, evaluation and research activities, as required.
- Maintain social media presence through website and social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- To assist with funding and communications in the work of YPNFA by acting as the applicant for network projects.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment consistent with agency mission and values.
- Familiarity with services that work with young parents with no fixed address.
- Outreach to agencies and other networks to promote work of YPNFA.
- Coordinate, trainings, presentations and community fair.
- Expand the network through recruitment of new members.

**_ Other duties YPNFA and Wraparound _**
- Strict adherence to agency policies and procedures.
- Health and Safety Adheres to the organizational health and safety policies and practices along with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. This includes but is not limited to ensuring safe workplace practices, protecting the health and safety of themselves and others and maintaining cleanliness in the workplace.
- Participate in training provided by the Agency, which is specific to job requirements i.e., CPI, First Aid, CPR, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**:

- Child & Youth Worker Diploma, Bachelor of Social Work (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the social services field.

**SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE**:

- Computer Literacy including Microsoft 365, internet navigational skills, accurate database entry, and continuously developing technology proficiency.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the social service sector within the Greater Toronto area.
- Ability to exercise professional judgement in conflictual and stressful situations.
- Advanced knowledge of issues affecting, and resources supporting marginalized young parents in Toronto.
- Ability to work closely with YPNFA to ensure smooth operation and good communication within the network.
- Well-developed presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Screening process.
- Work flexible hours in order to attend meetings and meeting commitments outside of regular business hours.
