Edmonton, Canada Edmonton Airport Hotel Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- To ensure the proper functioning of all guestrooms and other facilities serving the comfort and safety of the guests.
- Carries out basic plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical repairs, ground and landscaping, leisure facilities and assigned projects
- Daily Maintenance of Pool & Hot tub and other mechanical.
- Repair and maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Carry out all repairs as per maintenance work requests received.
- Keeping the working environment clean, free of debris and hazardous materials.
- Garbage and recycle removal per schedule.
- Recording of daily activities in maintenance log book.
- Inform management with unusual and unsolved maintenance issues.
- Immediate response to hotel emergency call (fire, water and electrical).
- Some extended hours are required to respond to emergency situations.
- Lifts heavy items (greater than 30 pounds) several times daily.
- Majority of daily tasks are performed throughout the hotel.
- Works with constant interruptions.

Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Experience pertaining to HVAC, general maintenance, electrical and/or plumbing preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years Hotel Maintenance Experience
- Pool Management Experience - Pool certification a requirement.
- Must have a Class 5 License.
- Basic working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical system, leisure and building equipment’s operations.
- Analytical skills to gather information to do tasks
- To be able to effectively communicate with both guests and co workers.
- Communication, complete the work given and advise the director of any concerns.
- Required to respond to tasks and adjust the schedules that change throughout the day.
- To maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- To provide every guest with exceptional service during their stay.
- To participate in providing the best guest experience.

Will be required to work / be available on weekends

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- NISKU, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
