Telecommunications Field Technician

You may require travelling up to 10% of the time, often for extended periods. Food & lodging will be paid for by the company. Mileage reimbursement will be paid when a personal vehicle is used.

You Will:

- Travel to multiple job locations daily to review proposed fiber facilities, telecom infrastructure locations, and designs for field accuracy and propose adjustments when needed.
- Take field measurements and photos of utility poles, equipment, cables, proposed equipment cabinets/boxes, and street dimensions.
- Collaborate with the associated permit team to review and submit encroachment permits to various state and municipal authorities, departments of transportation, railroads, pipelines, etc.
- Walk and work outdoors daily, in most weather conditions.

You'll Need:

- a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience with utility construction in an outside plant environment.
- Experience with telecom/utility poles, and MDU/Hicap/BAU field surveys is strongly preferred.
- 1+ years of experience with existing and proposed telecom equipment locations.
- 1 to 2 years of experience reading and analyzing utility work prints.
- 1 to 2 years of experience with aerial, underground, or buried telecom infrastructure.
- 1 to 2 years of experience with IKE data collection equipment and O'Calc, SPIDAcalc, or other pole-loading analysis software.
- A valid driver's license, car insurance, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation are required.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
