**How will you contribute?**

The Senate provides a unique learning experience and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Students have a once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved in Canada’s future development by working alongside experienced professionals while gaining insight into legislative processes, finance, developing skills in research, analysis, communications and teamwork.

Students can support the Senate administration team or work for a Senator's office in a variety of fields including Corporate Security, Information Services, Human Resources, Chamber Operation and Procedures, Property and Services, Senators Office, Clerk of the Senate, and Communications.

Along with working in stimulating teams, taking on challenging projects, and supporting ongoing initiatives that contribute to Canada's future development, you will have the opportunity to broaden your professional network and collaborate with like-minded individuals. **Open to**

All students enrolled or returning to full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

**Prerequisites**
- Currently enrolled with full-time student status in a recognized post-secondary institution;
- Returning to full-time studies in the next academic semester (**_proof of enrolment required_**);
- Experience working in a professional environment providing a high level of customer service;
- Excellent communication skills with high standards of service, integrity and respect;
- Superior level of motivation, problem-solving and collaboration skills;
- Outstanding ability to take initiative, prioritize assignments and adapt quickly in a fast-pace environment;
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Involvement in extracurricular activities (i.e. Coop programs, volunteering activities, etc.) is considered an asset;
- Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French) is considered an asset. Some positions may require fluency in both languages.
