**Phone Fundraiser (Casual Position)**

**Job Summary**

The BC NDP is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and energetic fundraisers who share our BC NDP values to help us reach out to our supporters and solicit donations for our election campaign.

In this job, you will contact BC NDP supporters, leads, and past donors over the phone and ask them to consider donating to support further the BC NDP's work leading up to this year’s provincial election.

This is an excellent position for someone interested in progressive politics and campaigns. It is also a great opportunity to be part of the BC NDP's winning team.

**Location**: (Fairview) Vancouver

**You are good at**:

- Discussing current political events in British Columbia

(knowledge of the BC NDP is a strong asset)
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with donors -Keeping track of details
- Working with Google Chrome web browser and with Google Docs -Working with web-based phone dialer programs such as CallHub -Working with CRM database programs

(experience with CiviCRM is an asset)
- Maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced role

**You are great at**:

- Being thoughtful, respectful, and assertive on the phone
- Talking to people that you don’t know and persuading them to contribute financially to further our movement
- Writing clearly and keeping accurate records
- Working under pressure (phone fundraisers must meet targets) -Speaking a second language other than English is an asset, preferably Mandarin, Cantonese or Punjabi

**Terms and Conditions**

This temporary, casual position is based out of our provincial head office in Vancouver from August through October 18th, 2024, reporting to the BC NDP Fundraising Phonebank Manager.

Compensation is per the CUPE 3787 Collective Agreement, with a starting wage of $25.67/hour, which may be extended upon mutual agreement.

A minimum commitment of three shifts per week is required. Shifts are available from 3:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 1:15 to 6:15 p.m. on the weekend unless otherwise specified. This project will be assessed weekly to ensure that outcomes meet expectations.

Expected hours: 18 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Evening shift
