We are looking for** **a **Mechanical Site Inspector** for an advanced facilities client, based out of our **Toronto, ON** office. We’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfill what inspires you - so we can make big impacts on the world, together. **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - At least 3 years of experience in construction inspection of mechanical piping systems and process equipment - Mechanical engineering/ technologist or equivalent - Experience with applicable codes, such as plumbing codes and fire codes - Knowledge of construction practices and principles - Ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating technical reports and daily reports - Progressive work-related experience - Experience with Non-destructive testing (ie. Pressure test) - Good verbal and written communication skills - Advanced interpersonal skills to work with clients and project teams - Proficient in MS Office Suites **Ideally, You’ll Also Have**: - A technical school graduate or a bachelor’s degree related to Engineering or Construction Management - Experience with inspecting the installation of process piping, and process mechanical equipment - Experience in testing and start-up of mechanical systems - HVAC experience - Ability to maintain a record of contract change orders and field changes on a set of contract documents - Ability to maintain a record of construction deficiencies - Ability to review time and expense reports from the construction contractor - Ability to work with the project team to resolve construction issues - Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas - Ability to work effectively on a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams - Passion for construction of infrastructure and building projects bia LI-Hybridwrs - At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
