The Job The Town of Edson is seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to oversee all IT functions within the organization. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, the IT Manager will be responsible for managing the Town’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, hardware, software, and cloud services. The role involves leading the service desk team in delivering exceptional technical support while ensuring the security, efficiency, and continuous improvement of IT operations. This position drives technological innovation, collaborates with all departments, and safeguards the Town’s digital environment against emerging threats.

In addition to the _above_, we require applicants to possess:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Five years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and service desk management, with at least three years in a management role, is required. Municipal experience will also be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of network and server management, including virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Expertise in computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
- Current knowledge and experience with Telecommunications landline and cellular systems, including Nortel and Call Pilot landline equipment.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and cyber security best practices.
- Successful completion of a satisfactory criminal record check.
