**Overview**
**Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is a consortium comprised of EllisDon, SNC-Lavalin, Aecon and ACS - Dragados. CTS has been selected by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to deliver the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit Project and is seeking highly qualified, experienced personnel to join the team of this complex P3 design and construction project.**

The Construction Intern (close out) will work with the site teams and functional teams to assist in the close out process of the projects, compiling drawings, technical documents, and being the connection between the teams to help keep the close out process moving towards completion. This position will get exposure working with Site teams, Project Managers, Superintendents as well as within Construction Quality, Document control, and Technical teams as well as exposure to the Design Group.

- Exposure to technical engineering information and plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors.
- Compile work package submissions for the close out process, working with site teams, designers, and functional teams to ensure all components of work submissions are included and submission meets expectations of client.
- Fill out all appropriate documents per the client's specifications for each Closeout Report
- Process project related forms and documentation
- Perform quality control on Closeout Reports prior to submitting to client
- Attend project team meetings as required; track and communicate action items and deliverables to completion
- Responsible for reviewing materials required for the Closeout of projects, including final resolution of all punch list work, finalize outstanding contract change orders, and review O&M / warranty documentation
- Co-ordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required by the contract
- Continually update drawings with changes as issued by Consultants.
- Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract and ensure information is communicated to the team.

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in, or completed a construction related degree or diploma program - Preferably civil/electrical/mechanical engineering background.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong computer skills using MS Office and scheduling software.
- Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives are prerequisites as well as being open to learning and understanding construction methods and developing good construction management skills.
