Do you have a love for leadership and proven management of a team? We are currently seeking a **Branch Manager** to lead our **Abbotsford Branch**. Responsibilities include superior customer service delivery, employee relations and development, community relations, compliance with corporate policies, regulations and direction, and proactive development and growth of retail deposit and lending portfolios through the demonstrated achievement of annual targets and goals.
**What you’ll do**:
- Manage the staffing requirements for the branch - hiring, training, and coaching.
- Provide leadership and example in delivering the credit union’s vision, values and commitments.
- Manage the sales management process within the branch.
- Manage the branch as a profit center by attaining sales, deposit loan and membership growth goals. Analyze reports, identify trends and identify marketing issues for the branch trade area.
- Undertake business development in the branch trade area as required to ensure ongoing growth of membership, asset base and revenues.
- Coordinate and deliver annual product specific campaigns.
- Ensure that the branch and all assigned employees are trained and adhere to required corporate safety, security and compliance requirements.
- Ensure that incidents are reported and that risks are minimized.
- Contribute to maximizing credit union performance of the branch network through problem solving, planning, and implementation of solutions
- Develop and maintain a positive profile for the credit union within the community through community involvement activities, donations or volunteerism and through active involvement with local associations and community events.
**What you bring**:
- 5 years experience in a branch management role with 2 years as a Branch Manager or equivalent
or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience and success in managing a retail branch with consistent achievement of goals and targets.
- Demonstrated skills in business development with proven ability to build strong customer relationships that result in an increase in branch portfolio.
- Detailed experience with deposit-related products, personal lending, residential mortgages and wealth management.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to negotiate terms and conditions.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coach and train others.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge and comfort level with various computer software programs i.e. Word and Excel.
