Midtown Golf is an upscale golf simulator facility offering a modern, private club experience for golf enthusiasts. With five state-of-the-art simulator bays, two stylish bars, and a commitment to exceptional service, we provide a premium environment for golfers to enjoy their passion year-round.
We are seeking a **dynamic and customer-focused Assistant Manager** to help grow our new business and ensure smooth daily operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team, connect with our guests, and help shape Oakville’s premier indoor golf destination.
**Job summary**:
- As the Assistant Manager at Midtown Golf, you will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities include managing online bookings, maintaining the facility and equipment, serving drinks, coordinating events, and delivering the highest level of customer service. Your leadership, attention to detail, and ability to connect with customers will create a welcoming, upscale atmosphere that reflects our brand.
**Responsibilities**:
**Manage Daily Operations**
- Schedule and organize tee times on our online booking platform.
- Operate the reception desk and bars, including processing transactions via POS.
- Assist guests with FullSwing simulators and troubleshoot issues when needed.
- Build strong relationships with customers and ensure exceptional service at all times.
- Take initiative to improve operations during quieter periods.
**Operational Procedures & Event Coordination**
- Help develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and workflows.
- Oversee setup and execution of private events, corporate outings, and tournaments.
**Facility & Inventory Management**
- Maintain and tidy all facility areas, including simulator bays, washrooms, bars, storage, and lounge spaces.
- Monitor and replenish inventory (alcohol, snacks, merchandise) to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and Smart Serve standards.
**Marketing & Brand Presence**
- Act as a brand ambassador within the community.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in golf management, hospitality, business administration, or related field (asset).
- Previous hospitality management experience, preferably in a high-end golf club or restaurant.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Smart Serve certification required at start.
- Knowledge of golf or golf simulator operations is an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences.
**Compensation**:
Hourly: $21-$27/hour
**Salary**: $41,600-$52,000/year
