We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our **Sales Representative.**
**Purpose of Position**
The Sales Representative role is responsible for calling on, building the Riverside business, and developing relationships with assigned Natural Account retailers/banners, as well as provide sales support and merchandising activities within various other Natural and Food/Drug/Mass (FDM) stores within a territory and outlying areas.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Demonstrate and uphold Company core values
- Develop and foster relationships with **RESPECT** to new and existing accounts, ideally with decision makers/buyers at each location
- Take on dedicated Head Office promotional planning, sku distribution, innovation presentations, regular meetings, and ROI analysis for assigned banners
- Manage, modify and execute a territory call cycle ensuring priority to top accounts with in-person calls and consistent communication with all banners/stores in your territory
- Ensure all products are featured and displayed as agreed/expected in-store (facings, pricing, display, danglers, coupons, POS)
- Check on SKU’s and facilitate reorder whether it be internally or distributor driven
- Support in-store promotions; follow up/negotiate space for POS & promotional items
- Execute fix the mix, planograms and relines in coordination and as requested by banner buyers and retail team+
- Execute retail condition audits from Head Office randomly if requested at FDM or Natural Banners
- Log weekly, monthly calls and notes in corporate trackers or tools, to ensure transparency and open communication
- Planning on Excel within company guidelines following Trade Spend put forth
- Attend Trade Shows/Distributor Training/Buying shows - as required throughout the year if deemed profitable
- Actively takes **OWNERSHIP** to upsell Riverside products to existing customers while displaying **HUMILITY**, actively support the regional sales plan as directed
- Develop leads, cold call/warm calling with retailers
- Provide samples, product information and/or demos and training for store staff as required
- Complete sales administrative duties (update CRM, submit sales reports and report on trade spend activities)
- Manage your own inventory of Riverside product (for samples, demos, shows, etc.)
- Be flexible to support a big sales push or act as back up for other sales reps
- Be able to **ADAPT** to undertake and/or support any other activity to build brand awareness
- Keeps the work atmosphere **FUN** by keeping it light and welcoming
- Other duties as required
**Education & Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing or a related field (or equivalent education and experience)
- Prior experience in a field role representing a brand/product; representing a consumer product preferred; experience selling to Natural/Independents preferred
**Skills & Abilities**
- Demonstrated ability to independently generate sales
- ** PASSIONATE**, outgoing personality; high energy with exceptional **TEAM** building and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Self-motivated, imaginative/creative, with a high level of initiative, flexibility and tenacity; strong sense of urgency
- Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong numeracy skills
