**Position Purpose**:
The Innovation Centre Merchandising Operations Supervisor directly supervises the activities of the team of Innovation MET Associates in the Innovation Centre. The ICOS is responsible for the management, planning and organization of day to day job tasks for a group of approximately 10 associates. This role reports directly to the Innovation Centre Manager (ICM). The ICOM will work directly with vendors and cross functional partners to ensure that labour and other requirements for the execution of merchandising strategies are planned for and available. This role will monitor Innovation Centre workload and work with cross functional partners to address opportunities in merchandising strategies and sets. The ICOS will monitor the facility to ensure our Vendor and Home Depot Associates are following all safety procedures, and that Home Depot and Vendor assets are protected. The ICOS will also work to support operational needs of the building including supply ordering, invoice payment, maintenance as well as internal and external meeting requests, bay booking requirements and inbound/outbound receiving needs. The ICOS will also play a key role in the execution of Merchandising strategies including clear communication with the required stake holders, providing solutions based on experience and efficiency to issues as they arrive and testing new concepts. This daily work will have a direct impact on the customer experience and execution of merchandising strategies in all stores across Canada.

**Major Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Supervises the work activities of the Innovation Center MET Associate within his/her area. Communicates Home Depot and merchandising strategies to Innovation MET Associates.
- Train and develop Innovation Center MET Associates within the work team, though the management of training calendar and curriculum execution.
- Manages recruitment and the interview process for hiring of innovation Center Associates and partners with ICM on recommendations.
- Manages appropriate staffing levels for the IC and proactively addresses hiring needs.
- Manages performance management for Innovation Center Associates as required and partners with ICM for Support.
- Owns Innovation Center Associates Review developments and provides input to the ICM performance appraisals and makes recommendations on promotion of Associates in his/her area.
- Engages in coaching and developing of Innovation Center Associates team members.
- Assists Innovation Center Associates with merchandising bays, set compliance with planogram, replacing labels, pack down, and building displays.
- Owns the planning and management daily labour for the team within the IC based on project schedule and organizational priorities
- Owns the request process for the labour in the IC.
- Supports the maintenance P&L for the facility with the ICM
- Support and enforce safety policies for Home Depot associates and vendor partners
- Owns processes for bay booking reservations, internal and direct partner communications, and pricing updates
- Manages Effective, detailed and secured receiving and outbound freight processes
- Owns day to day scheduling of pick-ups and deliveries with internal HD staff, vendors and 3rd party companies e deliveries and pickups.
- Research shipment paperwork discrepancies as required
- Work with service providers to support maintenance needs (i.e. Lift equipment)
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and secure facility.
- Partners with cross functional partners and vendors to execute merchandising strategies while providing clear communication on the execution, challenges and updates to sets.
- Owns aisle cleanliness and operational excellence throughout the facility.
- Owns overhead organization for all fixtures and inventory in the IC.
- Provide excellent customer service to our internal and external (i.e. vendors) customers.
- Ensure that all Innovation Centre staff and visitors adhere to workplace safety procedures.
- Check physical security of the facility to prevent and deter theft/fraudulent activity
- Other duties as required

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

**Education Required**
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
- Years of Relevant Work Experience - 2 Internal applicants with a rating of Meets Expectations (M) on their last review

**Physical Job Requirements**
- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
- Requires daily (non-overnight) travel up to 100% of the time
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
