Job description

**YOU MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ROTATING 12 HOUR SHIFTS EVERY 2 WEEKS **

Can Art is a commercial leader in the Aluminum Extrusion field, with 3 plants in Ontario, come and join a true industry leader in this exciting manufacturing field.

We need Machine Operator’s to start immediately at our Windsor location, near Elmstead.

Start Date: Immediate

**Job Description**:
Machine Operator’s are responsible for safe operation of various industrial machinery in our extrusion warehouse.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Carry out production, inspection, packaging and machine operation duties.
- Set up machinery and ensure all materials are readily available.
- Effectively monitor production equipment.
- Assist the packing associates and material handlers as necessary.
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain a safe and clean work space.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Must be able to read and write English and be familiar with weights and measurements. Basic Aptitude test will be conducted during interview.
- Basic computer skills required.

**_Must be able to work 12 hours continental shifts, shift rotating every two weeks, days to nights._**

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Able to work rotating continental shift
- Personable with clear communication skills
- Able to work well with others in a team environment
- Good attitude required
- Good knowledge and record of safety, quality and productivity around the aluminum extrusion press
- Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting
