**Job description**

We have one opening for a dockhand/grounds crew/junior guide to join our returning team.

**MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND EXPERIENCE DRIVING 15-25' OUTBOARD MOTOR BOATS AND DRIVING ATVs.**

If you love being outside and want a chance to fish some of the most exclusive waters on Lake of the Woods, come apply. We are located just 30 minutes east of Kenora, Ontario and provide room and meals during your stay with us. You do not have to have fishing experience, just boat driving experience.

This would be full time: working 45-50 hrs a week - start around May 4th and working until around Sept 4th

- inclusive American plan.

Hawk Lake Lodge is a high end fishing resort that can accommodate upwards of 25 guests per day, with the average guest staying 5-7 days per trip. We are committed to offering a warm, friendly work environment with a strong team culture.

**Skills**:

- Physically able to lift and do basic trouble shooting on boat motors; be able to split wood, and hike trails; have basic skills with using tools like lawnmowers and weed whackers.
- Experience with driving and docking a 12-18 foot boat with a 20-50 hp outboard motor.
- Interpersonal and communication skills a must
- Team player with high integrity
- Familiarity in basic outboard engine repair, boat maintenance, or anything related to construction, landscaping, plumbing, or general maintenance work.
- Must be Canadian Citizen or have immediate authorization to work in Canada.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

You will spend the majority of the time as a dockhand helping guests at the dock and preparing and maintaining the boats, and the remainder of the time doing projects and grounds maintenance.

Working with the team for opening and closing would entail putting motors into the boats, opening and closing of the buildings, etc. Working an average of 45-50 hours over 6 days a week.
