Direct Support Worker needed part time to support our male client with ABI in his home and throughout the Oshawa community. No personal care is required.

This role would be best for someone who is friendly, reliable, patient, with a good sense of humour. Time spent with our client will include chats, errands, playing cards (cribbage & other), neighbourhood walks, appointments, visiting local shops and restaurants, community events, some light housework e.g. washing dishes, lunch preparation, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Community support experience.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID -19.
- Must have a valid full G Driver’s License with reliable vehicle to travel throughout the community.
- Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
- Be flexible, have strong communication skills, and possess a willingness to learn - ongoing training provided.

**Hours**:

- The 4.5 hours per week for this role is Wednesday mornings from 9:00am - 12:00pm, plus travel time to and from client’s home, and mileage will be paid when driving client around town.
