LAKERIDGE HEALTH MANAGER, CASE COSTING AND STATISTICAL REPORTING FINANCIAL SERVICES FULL TIME 8 HOUR DAY SHIFTS (Subject to Change) LAKERIDGE HEALTH CORPORATE OFFICE (Remote and hybrid work options available) SALARY: $52.52 - $65.695 per hour UNEX 2200004272 DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: The Manager, Case Costing & Statistical Reporting responsibilities include: " Participate in the review of the quarterly SRI and MIS TB submissions, and analyze the Ontario Cost Distribution Methodology (OCDM) results to ensure LH is optimizing all reporting to secure/maximize funding and improve data quality; " Responsible for Case Costing & MIS team and ensure to completion of annual case costing submissions: liaise with all relevant stakeholders, coordinate and plan to ensure case costing reporting to the Ministry in compliance with Ontario Case Costing (OCC) Standards and submission deadlines are met; " Coordinates and manages the financial implementation of various initiatives to ensure compliance and statistical reporting requirements; " Coordinates development of internal reporting systems and visually impactful presentations using OCC data extracts to support strategic decision making processes across the organization; " Collaborates, reviews, analyzes and validates proposed business cases, using case costing and statistical data, to mitigate financial risk to LH including impact to future funding and maintains tracking of financial metrics for evaluating performance; " Keep abreast of changes in MOH, MOLTC, Ontario Health funding, the Ontario Health Reporting Standards (OHRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAB); " Participate in various Hospital Committees as a Finance/Case Costing representative and disseminate that information back to the Finance team; " Utilize benchmarking methodologies to analyze operations and identify areas of potential opportunities, working in close partnership with the Manager, Financial Strategic Initiatives; " Serve as a resource for Operations Management, including Vice Presidents, Directors and Managers, on issues related to case costing, cost per weighted case analyses, QBPs and benchmarking; " Provide multi-year funding and revenue forecasts using forecasting tools and identifying risks and mitigation strategies; " Prepare ad hoc reports, analyses and presentations for all levels of management and committees as required; " Providing coaching and mentoring to the team members, while maintaining employee engagement, creating a learning environment and working collaboratively to promote a strong team dynamic; " Cross coordination with other Finance managers, staff and other departments to review procedures and recommend changes to gain efficiencies while ensuring effective controls are in place. QUALIFICATIONS: " Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline required; " Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) is required; Master of Business Administration is an asset; " Minimum of five years of financial analysis and reporting experience in a healthcare setting, with in depth understanding of hospital finance and funding formulas in Ontario; " Strong knowledge of and/or certification in MIS Guidelines, and practical experience with benchmarking resources/methodologies; " Strong change management skills and strategies to support goal achievement; " Demonstrated ability to lead effectively and create a high-performance culture that facilitates growth and development within a team environment; " Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders, understand business objectives, develop performance metrics and design analytical tools/reports tailored towards stakeholder needs while drawing valid conclusions; " Exceptional communication skills - verbal, written, report-writing and presentations; negotiation and facilitation skills; " Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook; " Advanced skills in working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders/partners with a diverse range of needs; " Team player and team builder; " Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills including assessment and evaluation skills and the ability to think strategically and critically; " Demonstrated commitment to LH core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork & Joy; " Experience with SAP and Power BI would be an asset.
