**Your Opportunity**:
Under the direct supervision of the Technologist II, the primary duties include: Using EPIC Beaker (laboratory information system) to accession, label and track samples for testing, following proper sample acceptance criteria to receive samples, troubleshooting requests and requisitions that do not meet sample acceptance criteria or lack appropriate information, sending out samples for external testing, answering telephone inquiries, performing routine maintenance for lab instruments as needed, reagent preparation, reagent maintenance and waste disposal, removing slides from instruments, preparing slides for coverslipping, coverslipping slides, filing and retrieving/requesting tissue blocks and slides, organizing and sending slides out from the lab, and other duties as needed.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner. You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
As Required.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Previous experience in Anatomic Pathology. Previous experience using Epic. Strong time management and organization skills.
