**Junior OSP coordinator**

TekSavvy is seeking a Jr OSP Coordinator. You will gain/enrich/leverage your telecommunications knowledge and experience along with your exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to support FTTH initiatives for our internal/external teams. As an integral part of the fibre team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial customer installation experience. This will include interacting with customers and TekSavvy sales teams, site visits, quoting, performing installations, coordinating vendors, inspecting vendor workmanship, communicating permit requirements to relevant internal teams.

Key responsibilities:

- Perform all work in accordance with health and safety standards utilizing and ensuring use of personal protective equipment
- Inspect, quote, perform and coordinate commercial fibre installations
- Troubleshoot fibre network
- Cater to potential commercial client requests
- Conduct face to face interactions with commercial clients, ensuring we understand their needs and wants
- Perform jobsite safety inspections
- Inspect OSP construction, ensuring all work is completed to TekSavvy standards
- Overcome barriers, strive to constantly improve costs, quality, standards, and methods
- May be required to work evening and weekends
- Any other duties or responsibilities deemed necessary

Qualifications:

- Engineering Degree, College Diploma, or minimum 2 years’ experience in equivalent job responsibilities
- Team player who always put the interest of the team above all other priorities
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
- Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated) to manage multiple projects/accountabilities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with OSP including fibre to the home (FTTH) deployments, underground cable systems, and cable placement would be an asset
- Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement in day-to-day work and communicate initiatives to team leader
- Excellent decision-making skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-performance environment, deal with homeowners, utility workers and municipal representatives in a professional manner
