**Position: Financial Controller**
**Location**: Oakville (relocating to Etobicoke mid-August)
**Compensation**: $90,000-$115,000 per year (based on experience)
**Experience Required**: 5+ years in a senior finance role
**Software**: QuickBooks (strong proficiency required)
**Industry**: Construction (multi-entity environment)
**Start Date**: ASAP

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations across all entities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow for multiple companies
- Ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and manage external audits and year-end processes
- Maintain general ledgers, reconciliations, and journal entries in QuickBooks
- Track and manage intercompany transactions and allocations
- Provide strategic financial insight and reporting to executive leadership
- Lead payroll processing (experience with union payroll is a strong asset)
- Liaise with union representatives and manage remittances and benefit reporting (if applicable)
- Implement and refine internal controls and financial procedures
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting or bookkeeping staff (if applicable)

**Qualifications**:

- CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction or project-based industries
- Experience managing the finances of multiple companies or divisions
- Strong working knowledge of **QuickBooks**:

- Previous exposure to **unionized environments** is a strong asset
- Excellent communication skills (10/10 verbal and written)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
