We are currently looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team in Richmond, BC.

**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Safety**:

- Complies with all Nortrak safety policies and regulations.

**Quality**:

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and government regulations.
- Process improvement - identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.
- Help develop and implement new and improve existing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable processes.

**On-Time Delivery**:

- Prepare accounts payable reports when needed and assist with month-end close processes.
- Oversee the disbursement process and ensures the timeliness of payments.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and purchasing, to streamline invoice approval and payment processes.
- Initiate and review urgent and weekly payment runs.
- Reconcile bank and corporate credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Oversee the accounts payable process, including processing invoices, reviewing and reconciling vendor statements, and issuing payments.
- Oversee and issue vendor reconciliations as needed.
- Ad-hoc tasks or special projects assigned by manager.

**People**:

- Supervise two full-time accounts payable clerks and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Develop AP Team through training, feedback and management of day-to-day activities while promoting a collaborative culture.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate payment terms.
- Collaborate and communicate with other departments to assist in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of payables.
- Open to new challenges and eager to learn.

**Environmental**:

- Adhere to Nortrak's Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.

**QUALITIFCATIONS**:
**Education**:

- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field with some supervisory experience.

**Field of Experience**:

- Proven working experience as accounts payable clerk.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using MS Office standard programmes, e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
- Experience with ERP systems - ideally SAP.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

**Physical Demands When at Manufacturing Facilities**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
- Must be able to lift or handle up to 25 pounds at times.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional travel may be required which includes walking, standing, sitting and driving from short to long periods of time.

**SALARY**:

- $55,000/year - $80,000/year depending on skills and experience.
