**Job Overview**
As a Produce Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have access to fresh and high-quality produce. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the produce section, assisting customers with their selections, and ensuring that the area is clean and well-organized. This position requires excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.

**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting fresh produce items.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the produce section, ensuring all items are properly displayed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking shelves as necessary.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
- Communicate product information to customers, including pricing and promotions.
- Sell produce items effectively while providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations regarding food handling.
- Assist in training new staff members on best practices for produce handling and customer service.

**Skills**
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse clientele.
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly and appealing produce display.
- Experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely (if applicable).
- A commitment to cleanliness and maintaining high standards in food safety.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
