**About this job**:
As an Underwriting Assistant the role will be to strengthen our Underwriting Team, and will be based in our Toronto office. This is an exciting opportunity that allows you to learn about underwriting in the reinsurance business and supporting the Underwriting Team.

**About the role**:
In more detail your responsibilities will be to:

- Ensure all the submissions received are recorded in Workflow Tool.
- Work closely with Underwriters in Toronto and other PartnerRe locations (Bermuda, Paris, Stamford, and Zurich) to ensure all the underwriting recommendations are followed and authorizations are released in a timely manner.
- Support Treaty and Facultative underwriter for pre-underwriting tasks (e.g. data cleaning)
- Interact with other units and departments such as Technical Accounting, Claims, and Contract Wording
- Handle various operational tasks, such as reviewing contractual documents and endorsement requests, issuing facultative certificates, loss tracking, monitoring the performance of accounts (premium, claims, statements of accounts, etc.).
- Contribute to various market analysis studies and projects.
- Interact with brokers/clients’ support teams when needed

The role will be based in Toronto and hybrid office-based position with Monday and Friday as remote working days.
