Business Development Representative

This is a role ideally suited for someone with 5 or more years of industrial sales experience. The Business Development Representative is primarily an inside role that is responsible for proactively developing new business via phone calls and virtual meetings with existing customers and new prospects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Qualify leads, as well as prospect into ideal prospective companies.
- Ability to come up with creative ideas.
- Record all customer interactions in our CRM system with next steps scheduled.
- Develop action plans to pursue leads; follow up on prospects.
- Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of internal staff and customers.
- Develop opportunities and take advantage of outside sales reps for a face-to-face meeting.
- Perform a high volume of daily reach out to new cold leads via call and text.
- Meet with and develop impressionable relationships with potential clients to successfully understand their needs and specific requirements.
- Collaborate in the development of marketing content including, call campaigns, white papers, presentation decks and other marketing collateral.
- Prepare start-up documents for set up and attend start up meetings with new clients.
- Maintain positive relationships with purchasing departments (customers), industry contacts, vendors, and internal staff.
- Achieve weekly and monthly KPI’s.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Bilingual, French & English, skills are considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education and experience in B2B sales.
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and move them to the next stage.
- Comfortable with cold calling to uncover new business in a metric driven environment.
- A growth mindset, with a strong desire to improve your sales skills through coaching and mentorship.
- The ability to quickly challenge assumptions, objection handle, and come up with creative solutions to keep the action going.
- Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to qualify opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
- Ability to build relationships with prospects and customers at all levels of an organization
- High level of computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office 365
- Ability and willingness to learn various software programs and processes
- Industry experience and knowledge would be considered an asset.
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
