**Overall Accountabilities**: The Commercial Cook/Food Service Coordinator oversees the operation of the school cafeteria and catering program.

Under the supervision of the teacher, provides support for students involved in the Culinary Arts Program

- Maintains the commercial kitchen and equipment, including the maintenance and ordering of supplies; oversees regular inventory; maintains purchasing and receiving, cooking and food storage procedures
- Develops menu items, food costing, yield calculation and portion control; assists in standardizing recipes to ensure consistency; maintains all required records pertaining to food safety
- Maintains budgets and food costing reports
- Coordinates the food service operation with the teacher, including catering services
- Collaborates with the teacher and students in promoting the Culinary Arts Program

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent

**Experience**:

- Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role (Executive Chef, Sous

Chef, Chef de Partie)

**Certification/**

**Licenses**:

- Journeyman/Red Seal Certification

**Other Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- ChefTec software experience preferred
