We are looking for a passionate person as a Research Assistant to join our team. Duties can include:
- Perform qPCR experiments and related molecular biology techniques following established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze DNA samples for PCR amplification and validation.
- Monitor and maintain PCR instruments, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
- Accurately record experimental data and results in laboratory notebooks or electronic systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize experimental conditions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the development and validation of new qPCR assays and techniques.
- Prepare, update, and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), experimental protocols, and R&D reports. Ensure that all documentation adheres to company guidelines and industry standards.
- Collect, organize, and maintain raw data, experimental results, and research findings in a systematic and accessible manner.
- Qualification requirements:_
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with PCR techniques is essential. Experience with real-time PCR (qPCR) and reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) is desirable.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques, such as DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, and DNA quantification.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instruments related to PCR.
- Able to conduct cancer literature search based on requirements and summarize and extract information from the literature identified.
- Has been using Mendeley, Endnote, or other literature-organizing software.
- Experience in document management, data organization, or a similar role within a research, laboratory, or biotechnology environment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and adherence to strict safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present results effectively.
