**Job Summary**:
The Community and Social Service Worker will interview clients and appraise the needs or eligibility for specific services. They will work under the Program Coordinator helping set up workshops and program planning. In addition, the Community and Social Service Worker will be also assist in planning and coordinating small fundraising events, assist in day-to-day activities and support operations within My Sister's Closet (MSC) including answering the phone and relevant administrative duties. This position is 32 hours per week at $16.55/hour. The funding for this project is brought to you by Canada Summer Jobs. Estimated start date June 17th to August 15th.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
- Must be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
- Must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations. _International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents._

- Passionate about community development;
- Reliable and conscientious.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
