Reporting to the Director of Human Capital (HC), the incumbent will be responsible for all activities related to Human Capital for the growing Toronto region. The incumbent will work closely with managers, senior management and other members of the HC team to ensure that HC programs and services are in place to support the organization’s goals. The Business Partner will develop and implement regional and national HC initiatives with the HC Canadian Business Partner team.
- Act as an advisor to your assigned partners on all matters related to HC management, including performance management, talent and succession management, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation, etc.;
- Communicate, support and deploy changes and activities related to HC, such as new programs, processes, policies, annual evaluations, salary increases, etc.;
- Develop and implement, in collaboration with managers, vice-presidents, directors and other stakeholders (as applicable), HC initiatives that support the strategic directions/objectives of assigned groups and the organization;
- Analyze and interpret the data/trends captured by the HC performance indicators (KPIs) and make recommendations to management and the HC team, as required;
- Actively participate in the company’s organizational change projects by contributing your HC expertise;
- Act as an advisor, and guide managers in the creation and follow-up of development plans and succession plans;
- Answer questions from managers on all HC-related matters and manage various HC files in collaboration with other members of the HC team across Canada;
- Provide training to managers and employees on various HC-related topics, identify training needs, and offer solutions;
- Solicit feedback from partners to improve the level of service of HC;
- Make suggestions for internal process improvements within HC to positively contribute to the employee experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, administration (HR profile) or any relevant field. Membership in the HRPA is an asset;
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a business partner;
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently;
- Ability to identify issues and propose creative HR solutions to partners;
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment;
- Good team spirit, analytical skills and thoroughness;
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence others;
- Ability to build and maintain strong and lasting interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (communication skills in French are an asset);
