This is an afternoon position working out of our St. Thomas office.

**General Purpose**

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all activities required to maintain the efficient flow of freight to achieve maximum customer satisfaction in the most profitable manner. The Logistic Coordinator will provide direction to the driver’s activity on a day-to-day basis ensuring compliance with all legislation, safety, and security requirements.

**Prerequisites**
- Minimum 2 years of transportation industry experience
- Understanding of transportation regulatory requirements
- Intermediate computer skills
- Grade 12 education
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted

**Operational Responsibilities**
- An active effort to secure new business through the development of mutually beneficial client relationships
- Daily activities required including pricing freight, securing loads, and dispatching drivers.
- Ensuring secured loads are properly logged and updated in logistics software as load progresses
- Cost-effective coordination of the loads, drivers, and route designs
- Track shipments against pick up/delivery expectations and resolve road-blocks
- Ensure best practices are represented at all times and an ongoing effort to identify cost-savings opportunities.
- To ensure that all policies and procedures are supported consistently to meet ISO Standards
- The tracking of any key measurables required to meet monthly reporting requirements
- Mandating the compliance of all C-TPAT, Safety, and CVOR requirements at all times
- An ongoing effort to cross-train and support the Customs Coordinators
- Professional and courteous conduct at all times representing the company at the highest standard
- All other relevant duties as required or that may arise as the corporation evolves

**Salary**: $23.10 per hour
