**Job Type**: Full time, as required, permanent, compensation and benefits based on experience.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years experience related to estimating and material take-offs in a construction environment.
- Experience in pre-cast concrete, transportation, infrastructure (bridges) and/or concrete buildings will be considered an asset.
- Post secondary education in engineering technology, cost engineering or quantity surveying as asset, or significant experience as qualified tradesperson.
- Training will be provided as required.

**Skills**:

- Prepare accurate estimates and calculate budgets in a timely manner. Discuss and review with Chief Estimator.
- Read drawings and prepare materials takeoffs
- Proficient in use of MS excel, MS projects and MS Office suite of tools
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure
- Develop supply and subcontract packages, RFQ’s and follow up with suppliers/subcontractors
- Prepare and follow up on quotes and tenders with prospective clients.
- Review contracts and accept quotations.
- Ability to identify labor, material costs, and schedule requirements.
- Ability to coordinate material purchases.
- Communicate with clients and sales representatives.
- Ability to hand-over to project execution teams
- Follow and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Experience in CAD is added advantage.
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Detailed oriented.
- Team player, strong work ethic and positive attitude a must.

You must be eligible to work in Canada for consideration, with a valid class 5 drivers’ license.
