**Position Summary**

We have a permanent full time opening at Ponderosa Lodge Care Facility.

Days of work are rotating 8 am to 4 pm.
Ponderosa Lodge, located in Kamloops, embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible. Ponderosa Lodge consists of Regular beds and Short Stay beds. As the Rehabilitation Assistant you will be maintaining mobility and transfer, assisting the Occupational Therapist with wheel chair set ups, monitoring seating, and positioning. You’ll be involved in equipment management and group and/or individual exercise programs.
The support you will provide to the clients in your work area will aid the therapists to provide better individualized care ad assessment for each client. The client’s interventions will be much more robust, meaningful and effective with your support.
All new staff are assigned mandatory learning through our online system. In addition there are many other courses available to staff online. There are often in-person or remote courses offered through external sources. All staff are mentored by those on their team and have available support through their Professional Practice Leader. As well as the larger Rehabilitation team.
We are looking for staff who are willing to be flexible and accountable member of the team. Even though this is a Casual position, there is plenty of work to keep you busy. Training and mentorship is provided so part experience is less important than have a great attitude and being a team player.

**Qualifications**
- Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
