YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess workplaces to determine the types of hazardous agents present and investigate exposure controls in place;
- Conduct and/or direct industrial hygiene sampling (exposure monitoring) with various instruments; compile data;
- Report writing summarize observations, evaluations, and results; provide specific recommendations for control of hazardous exposures;
- Ensure all project related documentation is reviewed for technical accuracy & completeness;
- Continuously liaise with clients throughout project;
- Maintain current knowledge of developments and practices within the industrial hygiene profession.

YOUR SPECIFIC MEASURES OF SUCCESS
- Maintain project timelines and customer delivery objectives;
- Complete field assignments in a timely manner and on budget with respect to allocated time;
- Ensure all quality control parameters applicable to field tasks are met which includes sampling methodologies, equipment calibration, and comprehensive documentation of field activities including observations at client sites;
- Submit project draft reports in a timely manner: before client deliverable deadline to allow time for review by project manager;
- Obtain satisfactory feedback from project managers, peer colleagues, and clients with respect to professionalism in carrying out duties at client sites and within SPI office;
- Attend professional development activities related to industrial hygiene tasks to enhance learning and skills enhancement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A university degree and/or college diploma in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health &Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry or related pure/applied sciences;
- Work experience involving industrial hygiene and/or hazardous materials surveys preferred.
