As a team leader within this multi-disciplinary program, some of your responsibilities will be to: - Supervise and manage human resources responsibilities for a team of spatial data practitioners - Develop creative solutions and ensure the team is focused on collaboration, the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and manage client relationships and risk. - Work directly with our DND clients on complex spatial data and real property project work (e.g. site/infrastructure data standards development, end-user engagement, data governance, workflows, quality management process, data management systems) - Research, analyze and develop major policies, standards, directives and performance indicators - Generate spatial data related specifications and guidance documents, prepare business cases and communication materials, as required - Support the management of service level arrangements - Promote and manage business development opportunities - Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders. - Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations **Other** - Prepare monthly reports (e.g. internal and for the Client-Partners) - Other duties as assigned **SKILLS** **General and Specific Knowledge** - Best practices, methods, and trends in data management and GIS, civil, lands/infrastructure and/or site survey technology - Knowledge and experience working with civil, municipal utilities, land/infrastructure and/or site survey data in both GIS and CAD environments - Relational spatial database design and management - Project and risk management principles **Formal Education and/or Certification(s) and Experience** - **Minimum**: college diploma in geomatics or related field with five years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent - **Preferred**: university degree in geomatics and/or additional training in project management **Abilities** - GIS or Civil software and tools including ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D - Demonstrate leadership and human resources management skills **DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP** - Lead and manage direct reports - Provide functional direction and advice to other employees and the Client-Partners **WORKING CONDITIONS** - Typical office environment with occasional travel - Some work may be located on construction sites; incumbent may occasionally be required to wear basic safety equipment **Check out the benefits** Working with DCC offers excellent opportunities for growth - and entitles you to one of the job market’s best benefits packages.
