The **Payroll Coordinator** will be situated in our Edmonton Home Office.** **This role will possess a sound understanding of payroll processes combined with an in-depth knowledge of employment standards and legislative requirements.
**Skills and key deliverables that will take you further**:
- Exhibiting excellent customer relations by being courteous, caring, understanding, compassionate and respectful to all care partners
- Maintaining confidentiality of all care partner’s payroll records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Processing full cycle payroll in an accurate and timely manner
- Adhering to payroll Wellness Strategies and complying with relevant legislation
- Maintaining up-to-date, accurate records
- Processing ROE’s and providing responses to Service Canada inquiries
- Preparing, balancing, and issuing T4’s (annually)
- Calculating retroactive pay as required
- Collaborating with care partner team to provide recommendations for process and procedure improvement
- Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Assisting employee care partners with questions regarding their payroll
- Performing other services/tasks/duties related to employee Care Partner role as assigned
**Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from**:
- 4+ years of full cycle payroll experience
- 1+ years of Ceridian Dayforce experience
- PCP certification from the Canadian Payroll Association (achieved or obtaining)
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Excel
