**About the role**

The Driver - Explosives delivers explosive materials to the relevant Orica (manufacturing plant, Orica customer service depot) or Customer Site (on site magazine), this may include operation, maintenance and upkeep of the delivery vehicle in a safe and environmentally conscious manner at all times and in line with approved standard and procedures. To ensure production occurs on a timely basis following all safety procedures and taking a pro-active teamwork approach focused on coordinating assigned machine operation and product handling functions.

**What you will be doing**
- Pre-trip and Post-trip inspection of vehicles, checking and filling fluid levels
- Loading explosives into company trucks and driving (DZ licence REQUIRED) to different sites daily
- Assisting in laying out and loading of explosives
- Daily schedule averages 12 hrs a day, overtime daily after 8.5 hr
- Monday to Friday, Weekends off
- Long days out in all types of weather, with big rewards at the end of the day

- Requires thorough and meticulous completion of regulatory paperwork

**Role dimensions**

**Safety, Health, Environment & Security**
- Compliance with SHEC Charter and immediate reporting of any accidents, injuries or incidents.
- Reports any injuries/accidents immediately.

**Operations**
- Knowledge and ability to run, MMUs (Mobile Mixing Units).
- Preventative maintenance greasing schedule including focus parts and process to clean/change all filters.
- Demonstrated ability on lock out/tag out, safety systems and controls

**Driving**
- Pre-trip and Post-trip inspection of vehicles including checking and filling fluid levels.
- Ability to maneuver on the road and on customer property in a safe manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the inside of Orica vehicles at all times.

**Your qualifications**
- High School degree or equivalent, preferred
- Valid DZ License REQUIRED
