**Job Description**:
**Position Summary**

The Children’s Ministry Pastor, working under the Family Ministries Pastor and in collaboration with the Family Ministry team, oversees the vision, teams and leaders associated with Soul Kids, Soul Kids Jr. and Soul Kids Summer Ministries. The Children’s Ministry Pastor takes on the responsibility of establishing and preserving the spiritual culture and character of the children’s ministry and those involved in the ministry. This position is a full-time, 40 hours per week, salaried position.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Implement ministry in Soul Kids Jr. and Soul Kids that reflects Soul’s doctrinal positions, vision, mission and culture
- Cast vision for, and develop teams in Soul Kids and Soul Kids Jr. ministry including Sunday morning Gatherings, Soul Kids Summer Ministries and other new ministry opportunities that may arise
- Recruit, lead and care for Servant Leaders involved in Soul Kids and Soul Kids Jr.
- Choose curriculum and develop the curriculum to best reflect the needs of Soul Kids and Soul Kids Jr.
- In collaboration with the Family Ministries Pastor, provide guidance to the Family Ministry Assistant, as required
- Ensure that Protection Policies are being instituted to standard in all Children’s Ministry areas, screen and train Servant Leaders
- In collaboration with the Family Ministries Pastor, provide pastoral care for the Soul Community - building relationships and providing pastoral support to children, parents and family units
- In collaboration with the Family Ministry team, develop and implement outreach events for children and families
- Under the direction of the Family Ministries Pastor, create and develop opportunities for families to be equipped as they disciple their children
- Have consistent communication with team leaders and ministry members
- Plan and implement Children’s Ministry projects and Family Ministry Objectives and Key Results
- Be an integral member of the Soul Staff team and the life of the community
- All other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- A growing, vibrant faith in Jesus, that is evident through the pursuit of personal spiritual formation
- Prior Children’s Ministry or related experience
- Ability and desire to disciple children
- Ability to cast vision and to pursue the actualization of that vision
- Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast paced environment
- Ability to implement creative approaches to Children’s Ministry
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
- Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online software
- A team player who works effectively with the staff and ministry team
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Doctrinal alignment with Soul Sanctuary and the Pentacostal Assemblies of Canada

**Salary**: $33,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
