Job Summary
The Daycare Director oversees the daily operations of the non-profit child care centre, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years. The Director provides leadership to staff, supports families, and ensures compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations and Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations, staff scheduling, and child enrollment.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta licensing and health and safety standards.
- Support educators in planning and delivering play-based, developmentally appropriate programs.
- Build strong partnerships with families and respond to their needs and concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation required by licensing.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented, and inclusive work environment.
**Qualifications**:
- Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 3 Certificate (required).
- 1-2 years of experience in a licensed child care setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework.
- Current First Aid/CPR and clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
