Cybersecurity Operations and Compliance Analyst

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cybersecurity Operations**:

- Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents, and events alongside the security operations team.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in managing remediation processes with IT and development teams.
- Perform regular system audits and security assessments to verify security effectiveness.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

**Compliance and Governance**:

- Collaborate with compliance teams to align with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST, and assist in audits.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices.
- Prepare for and manage audits, assessments, and reviews of information security policies.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software or networking, preferably in North America.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST) and compliance processes.
- Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) and risk management.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
- RHCSA, RHCE, CCNA, CCNP.
- Familiarity with cloud security practices and compliance.
- Experience in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
