Shuttle Driver

**Summary**
The Shuttle Driver is responsible the timely and safe transportation of dealership customers to or from their indicated location (e.g. home, office, etc.). The Shuttle Driver maintains relevant documentation and ensures that the shuttle vehicle is in optimal operating condition, including interior and exterior cleanliness.
The Shuttle Driver is a self-starter and strives to be a conscientious and courteous representative of the dealership. When operating a vehicle, the Shuttle Driver ensures that all rules of the road are maintained, including but not limited to, distracted driving legislation and speed limitations. The Shuttle Driver will maintain a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory Driving Abstract.
The Shuttle Driver pays a high level of attention to the details by ensuring all relevant documentation and related paperwork or computer entries have been correctly and fully completed.
The Shuttle Driver is focused on achieving maximum customer satisfaction and develops collaborative relationships with customers to develop profitable and amicable long-term relationships.
**The Details**
**Develop strong relationships with customer**
- Greet customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
- Sensitive to customer needs and flexible/adaptable in performing duties with a customer driven focus
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers on the shuttle roster
- Handles all customer queries and concerns with a genuine intent to alleviate concerns, able to enforce safety protocols in a firm but courteous manner.
- Transport passengers irrespective of weather, traffic and road conditions in a safe, respectful and professional manner.
**Develop collaborative relationships**
- Strong team player who works with everyone to achieve dealership goals.
- Work with dealership departments to ensure activities are profitable and customer focused.
- Provide support to other departments as required.
- Maintain frequent contact with department manager.
**Be detailed oriented**
- Ensure all documentation/paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Before Departure for shuttle route, ensure an efficient route is established and followed, and that customers are transported according to the indicated timelines
- Reviews and analyzes actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
**Commit to the Dealership Brand**
- Stay up to date on the brand line up.
- Have a passion of the automotive industry
- Be knowledgeable about new features, specials and updates.
- Assist in maintaining a clean dealership, particularly by performing duties related to the cleanliness of the service area.
- Be a champion for delivering excellent service 100% of the time.
- Actively maintain the cleanliness of personal and team workspaces, including vehicles.
- Maintain a high level of professional appearance.
**Specific Skills**
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Excellent customer service skills including listening.
- Organized with an attention to detail and the ability to identify anomalies.
- Flexible and open to change; has initiative to take on special tasks as needed.
- Ability to manage customer complaints and to solve basic problems.
- Holds a valid driver’s license with clean driver's abstract
- Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
**Education & Experience**
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Automotive experience would be an asset.
- Available to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled.
