Law Student

Reporting to the Director of Legal Services and Clerk, the student will provide legal assistance to the departments.
**Schedule: part-time**
**Responsibilities**
- Attend depositions and a variety of court proceedings
- Follow up on collections from insurance companies
- Assist in drafting procedures and collecting evidence for litigation, claims and collections
- Attend and prepare for monthly board meetings
- Draft analyses of the quality of evidence received, and follow up to gather additional evidence where necessary
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Assist in policy drafting and by-law implementation
- Performs any other related duties
**Qualifications required**:
- Full-time law or paralegal student
- Excellent sense of time management and priorities
- Ability to show initiative and autonomy
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of office software
- Good knowledge of spoken and written French and English
