Corma Industries is a modern ISO 9001:2015 contract manufacturing facility in southeast Calgary, Alberta. We specialize in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) production runs and prototyping for a variety of industries including emerging energies, traditional oil & gas, aerospace, defense, mining, heavy infrastructure, construction, food and beverage, and exploration.

**Job Overview**

We are looking for an experienced, full time CNC machinist to join our team.

**Duties include**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, work instructions and tables;
- Program, set up and operate CNC milling machining centres and lathes;
- Inspect and measure completed machined parts to ensure parts meet client’s specifications and tolerances, deburr and polish parts;
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports;
- Additional duties as required.
- Minimum of 3 - 5+ years solid experience with Computer Numerical Computer (CNC) machines, preferably in a jobbing shop setting;
- Red Seal Journeyman machinist preferred, 3rd or 4th-year apprentice machinist is acceptable;
- Experience with FANUC controls is required;
- Some manual lathe experience is an asset, especially in a jobbing shop setting;
- Experience with Solid Works and GIBBS is an asset;
- Expertise using precision inspection tools, such as calipers and micrometres;
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
- Ability to think on your feet to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.
- Must be able to communicate at an advanced level in English, both written and verbal.

Pay: $28.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
