This is a part-time, daytime position Monday to Friday.

20 hours per week, 8:00 am to 12:00 noon Monday to Friday.

Compensation $20-$22 per hour, commensurate with experience, paid monthly,

The Custodian’s responsibilities include:

- ensuring the building and grounds are clean and well-maintained
- ensuring meeting rooms are prepared for user groups, gatherings and meetings;
- grounds maintenance including shoveling, de-icing, grass mowing, weekly garbage removal;
- ordering and maintaining stock of maintenance supplies and equipment;
- carrying out or arranging for necessary repair work of equipment, building and furniture.

Qualifications and skills required:

- self-starter, able to work independently and prioritize responsibilities;
- ability to multi-task;
- excellent interpersonal skills;
- adherence to cleaning protocols;
- ability to lift heavy furniture, equipment and supplies;
- proficiency speaking, reading, writing and comprehending English;
- work ethic compatible with the church’s values;
- must be legally eligible to work in Canada

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a police records check and training on The Diocese of Toronto's Sexual Misconduct Policy before commencing employment.
