**Parts Warranty Coordinator**

TOK Transit operates and maintains public transit vehicles for municipalities. The Company was founded in 1971 as a maintenance operation and grew into transit operations in 1980. The Company is based in York Region. As part of our maintenance activities, we assist our Clients in managing warranty claims from bus manufacturers. We currently have a need for a Warranty Coordinator to manage the claims process.

**Salary Range**:$20 - $27 per hour depending on experience.

**Description and Duties**:
Prepares, records and submits warranty claims to Bus OEM and/or distributor and reconciles them accordingly. assist in maintaining Parts Room inventory control (inventory levels, cycle counts, etc.), parts Issuing/receiving, stocking items and parts pick up when required.

Ø Processes warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor.

Ø Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.

Ø Management of latent defects.

Ø Verifies criteria required by bus OEM or distributor.

Ø Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.

Ø Posts credits on computer.

Ø Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off.

Ø Follows up on payment of outstanding claims.

Ø Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of.

Ø Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped.

Ø Files and maintains all service records as required by the warrantor.

Ø Keeps informed of all OEM recalls and bulletins.

Ø Assists with any clerical needs as directed by the fixed operations manager or the controller.

Ø Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.

Ø Performs other duties as assigned.

Ø Receive parts and enter into inventory

Ø Sourcing and ordering parts as required

Ø Perform cycle counts

Ø Maintain clean and safe work areas

Ø Part labeling and stocking shelves

Ø Other tasks:
a. Perform Warranty duties (3 Locations)

b. Cover Parts Clerk vacation/absence (3 Locations)

**Qualifications**:

- High school Grade 12 or higher
- Parts and Warehousing Ops and Maintenance Tech./Technician
- (Centennial College Apprentice Program) is as an asset
- Valid drivers license (Ontario Class G)
- Knowledge in Bus and Truck parts would be an asset
- Computer skills required
